imbd.com describes the movie as..." a magical place ruled by a young girl's imagination. It is an existence that mirrors that of her favorite literary character, Alex Rover - the world's greatest adventurer. But Alexandra, the author of the Rover books, leads a reclusive life in the big city. When Nim's father goes missing from their island, a twist of fate brings her together with Alexandra. Now they must draw courage from their fictional hero, Alex Rover, and find strength in one another to conquer Nim's Island."

Katie Brock is the woman behind the animal scenes in Nim's Island. She trained all the animals that appear in the movie from sea lions to bearded dragons. She trained the animals withNim ( Abigail Breslin) in order to develop a bond between her and the animals. Because it was very important for them to be comfortable with each other on screen.

What kind of animals can you see in Nim's Island?

Australian sea lions, central bearded dragons and Australian pelicans, dogs, goats, and a whole myriad of lizards, which were indigenous to the area.
