I would think that PETA and the AKC would be BFFs, but PETA will show up at the American Kennel Club's Annual Championship Dog Show with signs saying "AKC Kills Shelter Dogs' Chances."

2007 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship

Are you ready for the "Planet's greatest dog show?" It's happening Saturday and Sunday, December 1 & 2, 2007 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, CA. This event is a must-see for all pet-lovers. Two days-- thousands of dogs. Plus, lots of vendors offering just about everything for dogs and their owners (Christmas is coming up).

Not a dog owner...yet? This event will be jam packed with AKC Meet The Breeds Parent Clubs with dogs at least 6 months old to educate the public on each distinct breed.
